About The Book
Living with Diabetes – Looking From The Inside Out by Brenda J. Johnson is a book about the author’s journey with diabetes. The book will generally focus on the importance of diabetes in adults and children. However, it will not be one of the ordinary stories you read or hear. It is a story based on what happened to Brenda’s mother and how it affected her. There are many books out there that describe diabetes, but what I want to share with you is my real-life story. The purpose of doing so is to tell you about the real effects of diabetes on one’s body and their family. Similarly, there are many books on diabetes, but this one is told through Brenda’s experience as a daughter and a professional nurse. This book hits closer to home as the author shares her battles with the disease named “The Silent Killer.” She shares all the knowledge that she has accumulated over the years about diabetes, how it will affect us as a victim and as a witness, the alternates that we can use, and how we can defeat it. In this informative and thought-provoking read, you will find many of the answers you were looking for.
